Welcome to the Cumbria Archery web site which we hope that you will find to be helpful.  The site holds information on all the GNAS affiliated clubs in Cumbria giving details of who to contact where they meet and when.

Also you can find the County members shooting records along with dates of forthcoming shoots and entry forms.

June 2008   Alan Wills from Sellafield club qualifies for the Beijing Olympics

 

July 2008   Cumbria archers do well at Grand Northern Ewan Turnbull 2nd in gents recurve as well as winning the Bowman class and best score not GMB/MB  Roy Osborne comes back from a 40points down on first day to win the Gents Compound with Geoff rowlinson winning best golds at both 100 and 80 yards

Kirsty Skivington at only 11years takes the novice prize scoring 1249 and not to be outdone her dad took the gents novice prize with 1434

 

September 20th Junior Squad Training at Hunter Hall Penrith 10am to 3.30pm

 

October 4th Junior team take part in 5 Counties. Weather terrible Competition cancelled after 6 doz arrows

October 5th Senior team take part in 5 Counties weather excellent

 

November 30th 2008  County combined fita at Penrith Alan Wills leads the way  with 2 new County records as 23 new records  are set.

February 1st  2009 72 archers shot the First County Indoor Open Tournament at the new venue Penrith leisure Centre. The shoot was excellent and the reports in various papers very encouraging. Thanks to everyone.

 

February 21st 22nd.   Alan Wills does it again winning the GNAS National Indoor Tournament at Lilleshall  needing only a TEN with his last arrow to win outright he duly obliged . Well done Alan.
